This Standard complements product standards or draft Standards already published currently under study within CEN/TC 34 (single taps and mixer taps (EN 200), flow rate regulators (EN 246), thermostatic mixers and waste fitting...) in wich it is referred to.Taking into account recently marketed coatings, this draft may be revised accordingly. The aim of this European Standard is to: -- define the state of significant tapware surfaces -- specify the characteristic of the surface coating (corrosion resistance, adhesion) and -- describe tests for checking these characteristics.
